CSR LPT SPI programmer (CSR8645, CSR8670)
If you have no CSR USB SPI programmer, but a 'real' LPT port (printer port), the CSR can also be programmed via LPT-SPI.
A minimum circuit is shown in the following diagram, this works for modules of the CSR86XX series and also for others. The levels are designed for 1.8V. Tested with a CSR8645 module.
Other modules of CSR:
BC2 series - BC215159A,...
BC3 series - BC31A223, BC358239A,...
BC4 series - BC413159A06, BC417143B, BC419143A,...
BC5 series - BC57F687, BC57E687, BC57H687C,...
BC6 series - BC6130, BC6145, CSR6030, BC6110, BC6888,...
BC7 Serie – BC7820, BC7830, …
BC8 Serie – CSR8605, CSR8610, CSR8615, CSR8620, CSR8630, CSR8635, CSR8640, CSR8645, CSR8670, …

Hi!
Why the USB needed?
It is needed for programming all settings of these chips.
Hello,
Is it possible to share the CAD model of the CSR8645?
Thank you,
3d-Modell or KiCAD part?
This would be primarily for the electric model (is that KiCAD model is compatible with other software such as Altium Designer?). The 3D model can also be very useful. thank you,
The KiCAD model isn’t compatible with Altium Designer, the 3D model is from the standard KiCAD lib.
