Agfa Snapscan e52 - Scanwise 2.0.0.9 - timeout / communication error

When using an Agfa Snapscan e52 (also, e10, e20, e25, e26, e40, e42, e50, 1212u, 1236u) with the software Scanwise 2.0.0.x connected via USB (here 2.0.0.9) on newer operating systems (Windows XP, Vista, 7) it comes sometimes to communication problems between the scanner and the computer.

Remedy may change the timing and buffer parameters in the file "cnfgvars.txt", found in the Scanwise installation folder (here "C:Program FilesAgfaScanWise 2_00"):
