LM5069 – Hot Swap Controller / Load Switch / Battery Switch

Load Switch / battery switch based on the LM5069 for 10-50V input voltage and 120A +.

To use the 1200W Boostwandlers in combination with the TPA3255 amp to sealed lead / SLA, Li-Ion or other sources, an electronic switch is necessary, the above-mentioned destructive power parameters up to 3000uF output capacity and can switch off or wear-free. The whole please with switching input and isolated PG signal as an open drain. Connections optionally as a M4 screw, XT60 or XT90 connector.

The choice is for the LM5069-2 Texas Instruments combined with suitable FETs (SOA limit). Durable enough appear here Alpha & Omega AOT(B)290L (Unfortunately EOL) and NXP PSMN3R7-100BSE, Critical here is the SOA limit for switching times / peaks in linear / DC area. Nearly all modern TrenchFETs provide only still current capabilities far below the specified peak performance. (Often smaller 1A to 100A types)
